Abstract
[Resumen] Este artículo analiza la coeducación como modelo pedagógico que incorpora la
igualdad como eje transversal, y que de manera implícita y explícita, previene
las violencias que tienen como raíz el machismo, nos referimos en concreto a las
violencias de género y la LGBTIfobia. Un sistema educativo que en vez de
fomentar un análisis crítico, reproduzca la socialización diferencial y desigual
de género, no actúa activamente contra estas desigualdades. Frente al modelo
androcéntrico y heteronormativo existente, la coeducación como pedagogía del
aula, debe contemplar la igualdad entre los géneros pero atendiendo a la
diversidad sexual y de género existente en los centros. Coeducar es construir un
mundo mejor basado en la igualdad, la diversidad y el respeto, construir un
mundo donde las violencias machistas no tengan cabida
[Abstract] This paper analyze Co-education as a pedagogic model which incorporate Equality as a transverse axis. In an explicit and implicit way, Co-education prevent chauvinist violences, such as gender-based violence and LGBTI-phobia. An education system that, instead of encourage to critical analyses, it reproduces a differential and inequality socialization of genders and it does not act against said inequalities. Opposite to the androcentric and hegemonic existing model, Co-education as a pedagogy regards equality between genders as well as affective-sexual and gender diversity in educational institutions. Coeducating is to create a better world based in equality, diversity and respect, to construct a world in which chauvinist violence do not exist
