Abstract
[Abstract] The exempt sepulchral monuments are exceptional in the churches of Galicia during the Middle Ages. Some characters preferred to build them under the mendicant orders, especially of the Franciscans; For his part, the archbishop of Don Lope de Mendoza ordered a splendid chapel to be built for his magnificent sepulcher, but both were destroyed in the eighteenth century. For that reason the mausoleum dedicated to Santa Mariña de Augas Santas in his church acquires greater relevance and everything points to the fact that it was raised at the same time as the temple that shelters it.
