Abstract
[Abstract]: The aim of this final degree project is the creation of an application that allows the detection and visualisation of patterns in football matches through a web player. Some of the examples of patterns covered are flank attacks and breakaways, among others. Understanding and analysing the patterns of play, tactics and moves employed by players and the team during the match facilitates the formulation of more effective and informed strategies. To achieve this, the application performs the extraction of time intervals in which the detected patterns or plays were carried out, thus allowing the effective visualisation of videos corresponding to the identified patterns, which is essential for analysis and decision making by the end user. To achieve this goal, an initial analysis was done to define the scope and functional requirements of the project. Then, the system was designed, as well as its interface, using mockups to visualise the functionalities, along with the queries and requirements of the project. In the development, PostgreSQL technology with PostGIS was used for the storage of the party information and geospatial data, as well as Flask technology for the implementation of the REST service. Fetch API, already integrated in JavaScript, was used to make requests to the server. For the user interface, HTML and CSS together with Boostrap and JS functions were used to achieve an aesthetic and user-friendly website. The final degree project was managed following an iterative and incremental methodology for software development.
