[Resumen] Desde 1995 en la Unión Europea
los consorcios, acuerdos de colaboración
entre transportistas marítimos de línea
regular competidores, han venido siendo
beneficiados con una exención por categorías.
El último Reglamento, adoptado en 2009, fue
prorrogado en 2014 y nuevamente en 2020
hasta 2024. El presente trabajo analiza el
concepto y contenido de los consorcios y
los requisitos que deben reunir para estar
bajo el paraguas de la exención en bloque.
Asimismo, se exponen las dudas sobre la
conveniencia de su continuidad, puestas en
especial evidencia desde la COVID-19.
[Abstract] Since 1995 in the European Union, consortia, as collaboration agreements between regular competing maritime carriers, have been benefiting with a block exemption. The last Regulation, adopted in 2009, was extended in 2014 and again in 2020 until 2024. This paper analyzes the concept and content of consortia and the requirements that they must meet to be under the umbrella of the block exemption. Likewise, the doubts about the convenience of its continuity are exposed, especially from the COVID-19.
