Sobre el concepto y método de enseñanza planteados en las «oposiciones a cátedras» de derecho romano (1900-1943)

Abstract

[Resumen] En este artículo se explica la visión que sobre la enseñanza del derecho romano y sus fines manifestaron los diferentes opositores a cátedras universitarias de esta disciplina en la primera mitad del siglo XX. Para desarrollar este objetivo, se analizan las memorias presentadas por los diversos candidatos, que fueron preceptivas desde 1923, conservadas en el Archivo General de la Administración. Ello da pie, igualmente, a un análisis de todas las oposiciones celebradas por el turno libre hasta la reforma de la normativa universitaria, operada por la Ley de 29 de julio de 1943 sobre ordenación de la Universidad española.

[Abstract] The article explains the vision of the teaching of Roman Law and its aims expressed by different candidates for university chairs in this subject in the first half of the 20th century. To do this, the reports submitted by the various candidates, which were manda-tory since 1923, are analysed. These documents are kept in the General Archive of the Administration. Furthermore, this work develops an analysis of all the public competiti-ve examinations open to both external and internal candidates until the reform of the university norms in 1943.
