Abstract
[Resumen]: El correcto mantenimiento de las carreteras es uno de los puntos clave a la hora de aumentar
la seguridad de los usuarios que circulan por las mismas. Debido a esto y con la finalidad
de mejorar la seguridad vial del conjunto de carreteras del estado nace este proyecto, consistente
en la obtención del volumen de tráfico de vehículos que circulan por las diferentes vías
del país.
La obtención de estos datos se realiza a través de la utilización de un dispositivo electrónico
montado sobre un arduino que, con ayuda de un sensor de bucles inductivos instalado en la
vía es capaz de obtener la huella de todos los vehículos que circulan por esta. La captación de
estas huellas permite la clasificación en grupos de los diferentes tipos de vehículos atendiendo
a su tamaño.
Además de la morfología del vehículo también es posible obtener diferentes parámetros,
tales como: la fecha, la hora, la velocidad y la longitud de este que permitirán conocer en
detalle las características de los vehículos que circulan por la vía en cuestión.
El análisis de los datos obtenidos permitirán realizar estudios posteriores que deriven en
una mejora sustancial del estado y mantenimiento de las principales carreteras del país, así
como una reducción de costes de mantenimiento y una mejora en la planificación futura de
modificaciones o reformas basándose en la utilización de estas. Del mismo modo, este software
permite conocer otras características importantes relativas a la vía como la necesidad del
aumento o disminución de la capacidad de esta o la velocidad media del conjunto de vehículos
que circulan por la misma.
[Abstract]: The correct maintenance of the roads is one of the key points when it comes to increasing the safety of the users who circulate on them. Due to this and in order to improve the road safety of all state highways, this project was born, consisting of obtaining the traffic volume of vehicles that circulate through the different roads of the country. This data is obtained through the use of an electronic device mounted on an arduino which, with the help of an inductive loop sensor installed on the track, is capable of obtaining the inductive signature of all the vehicles that circulate through it. Capturing these signatures allows the classification of different types of vehicles into groups according to their typology. In addition to the morphology of the vehicle, it is also possible to obtain different parameters, such as: date, time, speed and length of the vehicle, which will allow us to know the characteristics of the vehicles that are circulating on the road in detail. The analysis of the data obtained will allow subsequent studies to be carried out that lead to a substantial improvement in the condition and maintenance of the country’s main highways, as well as a reduction in maintenance costs and an improvement in the future planning of modifications or reforms based on the use of this. In the same way, this software allows knowing other important characteristics related to the road, such as the need to increase or decrease its capacity or the average speed of all the vehicles that circulate on it.
