Abstract
[Abstract] The omission of caring tasks in the organisation of the modern city is highlighted in studies on gender and urban planning. Overcoming this shortcoming requires the integration of a gender perspective in planning, an issue that is still in its infancy. A guide is proposed, based on a set of ten strategic lines with a total of thirty-two indicators, in order to systematise the content of urban planning so that it can be fully integrated. Through its systematic and selective application to the first approval document of the General Plan of Narón, we have confirmed its effectiveness as a tool both for the preparation and drafting of the plan, as well as for the evaluation of its content through the gender impact report.
