La interpretación del patrimonio como herramienta en la responsabilidad social: propuesta de un modelo de medición a partir del modelo VBA

Abstract

[Resumen] La noción de “responsabilidad social” en el ámbito turístico debe integrar a los actores involucrados, tanto a los agentes que lo desarrollan, como a los propios turistas o a la población receptora. La interpretación del patrimonio es una disciplina que sirve para hacer llegar al público visitante los recursos, de tal manera que actúa como mediadora no sólo con el objetivo de entretener e instruir acerca de ellos, sino de conseguir un cambio de actitud y de comportamiento hacia el lugar visitado. El objetivo de este artículo es, por tanto, reflexionar acerca de la relación entre la responsabilidad social y la interpretación del patrimonio. Se trata de hacer mención a los posibles paralelismos que pueden existir entre ellas y su significación o aplicación en el ámbito turístico. Se presta una especial atención al papel jugado por los principales actores ya mencionados y presentes en el fenómeno y se hace una mención a los centros de interpretación como ejemplos de “irresponsabilidad social”.

[Abstract] The notion of ‘social responsibility’ in the tourism field must integrate all the players involved, the agents that develop it, as well as the tourists themselves or the local population. The heritage interpretation is a discipline that serves to present the resources to the visiting public in such a way that it acts as a mediator not only aiming to entertain and educate about them, but to change the attitude and behavior toward the visited place. The aim of this article, therefore is to think about the relationship between social responsability and the interpretation of the heritage. It means to mention the possible parallels that may exist between them and their significance or application in the tourism field. Special attention is paid to the role played by the main agents already mentioned and involved in the phenomenon. Finally the text refers to the interpretation centres as examples of “social irresponsibility”
