Abstract

[Resumo]: A pesca deportiva é unha actividade con forte implantación en Galicia, mais carece de ferramentas tecnolóxicas adaptadas á súa realidade específica. As aplicacións existentes adoitan estar pensadas para outros contextos xeográficos, limitan as funcionalidades tras muros de pago ou ofrecen algoritmos demasiado xeneralistas que non se adaptan ao litoral galego. Neste contexto, desenvolveuse MareVita, unha aplicación móbil orientada á pesca deportiva en Galicia, que integra información ambiental, funcionalidades sociais e ferramentas para saber cando e onde pescar; todo isto nunha única plataforma gratuíta. A aplicación permite rexistrar capturas, visualizar mapas de condicións meteorolóxicas, crear alertas personalizadas e compartir resultados cunha rede de amizades. O sistema complétase cun backend baseado en microservizos, deseñado para ser facilmente despregable mediante Docker, dando lugar a unha ferramenta útil e flexible que busca mellorar a experiencia dos pescadores deportivos locais.
[Abstract]: Recreational fishing is a widely practiced activity in Galicia, but it lacks technological tools adapted to its specific reality. Existing applications are often designed for other geographical contexts, limit functionalities behind paywalls, or offer too generic algorithms that do not adapt well to the Galician coastline. In this context, MareVita was developed as a mobile application focused on recreational fishing in Galicia. It integrates environmental information, social features, and tools to help users know when and where to fish, all within a single free platform. The app allows users to record catches, view weather condition maps, create personalized alerts, and share catches with friends. The system is complemented by a microservices-based backend, designed to be easily deployable via Docker, resulting in a useful and flexible tool aimed at enhancing the experience of local recreational fishers.
