Resistir ou adaptar-se? Os agricultores da Galícia/Espanha diante da política agrícola comum no pós-19921

Abstract

[Resumo]: Este artigo tem como objetivo não só identificar as estratégias de resistência, mas também de adaptação dos agricultores galegos participantes das organizações agrárias profissionais da Galícia face à Reforma da Política Agrícola Comum (PAC) iniciada em 1992. Utilizaram-se como procedimento metodológico entrevistas semiestruturadas com os agricultores participantes da Associação de Jovens Agricultores Profissionais (ASAJA) e do Sindicato Labrego Galego (SLG), situados na província de Corunha, Espanha. Os resultados da pesquisa apontaram que os agricultores galegos vinculados à ASAJA – uma instituição caracterizada por práticas agrícolas mais produtivistas – desenvolveram, de forma mais acentuada que os agricultores associados ao Sindicato Labrego Galego, estratégias de adaptação em relação às políticas agrícolas da PAC, ao passo que os agricultores galegos participantes do Sindicato Labrego Galego, que adotaram, de forma mais marcante, práticas agroecológicas, desenvolveram estratégias de resistência às imposições estabelecidas pela PAC[Abstract]: This article aimed to identify the strategies of resistance, but also of adaptation of the Galician peasants participating in the Professional Agricultural Organizations of Galicia in the face of the Reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), started in 1992. Semi-structured interviews were used as methodological procedure with the peasants participating in the Association of Young Professional Farmers (ASAJA) and the Union Labrego Galego (SLG), located in the province of A Coruña / Spain. The results of the research showed that Galician peasants linked to ASAJA, developed more accentuated strategies than farmers associated with the Union Labrego Galego in relation to agricultural policies of the CAP, while the Galician peasants participating in the Union Labrego Galego developed strategies resistance to the impositions established by the CAP
