Abstract

[Abstract]: This paper synthesizes the outcomes of an international workshop organized within the EU-funded Co-UDlabs project, which brought together researchers and practitioners to discuss the value of UDS data and identify key barriers and opportunities. The findings emphasize the need for improved data governance frameworks, enhanced quality control procedures, and greater adoption of open data principles to unlock the full potential of UDS data. The paper concludes with a set of recommendations aimed at fostering collaboration across academia, industry and utilities, promoting transparency, and advancing data-driven urban water management strategies.
