Abstract
[Abstract] By mean in-depth interviews and content analysis, the current paper aims to study the social discourse around a large scale environmental project such as the reconversion of an opencast mine into an artificial lake. Results accounts for a both symbolic and real centrality of the mine owner company in the discourse, as well as the inexistence of organism and space in favour of a greater public dialogue and coordination among the administration involved. These facts might be blocking a commissioning of a revitalization project to exploit the lake and especially by the local community, in a context of deindustrialization and unemployment
