Abstract
[Resumen] El presente artículo plantea las ventajas del teatro, en su doble naturaleza textual y escénica, como herramienta para el aula de Lengua castellana y literatura en el nivel de secundaria. La propuesta, sustentada en una base teórica actualizada, aborda el tema bélico, considerado de importancia por la LOMCE, en el nivel de cuarto de ESO. En este sentido, el artículo pone de manifiesto los beneficios de este enfoque para abordar un tema de gran complejidad y para, a su vez, desarrollar valores cívicos y críticos transversales en el alumnado
[Abstract] This paper presents the advantages of using theatre, understood in its twofold nature as text and performance and as a tool while teaching Spanish Language and Literature at secondary education. The proposed activity, based on state-of-the-art theoretical work, focuses on the notion of war which is central to LOMCE at the 4th grade of secondary education. Light is shed on the benefits of this approach in dealing with a complex topic such as war as well as developing civic and critical values in the students
