Abstract
[Abstract] What we want to convey from this editorial article is the importance of being able to systematically document how a great ape (orangutan, monkey, gorilla or chimpanzee) is able to decide to create a plaster or ointment from medicinal herbs and/or arthropods and apply it. directly into the bed of a wound, repeating this healing process logically over time to heal itself, being an act that is at least surprising and a source of learning about what nature offers us from its medicinal arsenal (ethnomedicine).
