Abstract
[Abstract] The different surficial formations present in the Pallars Jussa country at the leridan Prepirineo are analized from the point of view of its use as a source area for natural aggregates. The mechanical characteristics of these materials are also analyzed. Results shows that only 20% of the total surface occupied by quaternary materials are able to act as a source area for natural aggregates of a coarse nature. The most remarkable areas are sorne levels embedded in several alluvial fans and sorne grezes litées. Both can be classified as acceptable by the currently in use rules.
