Astroturismo en Galicia: conservación y divulgación del cielo nocturno y oportunidad de negocio

Abstract

[Resumen] En el presente artículo de divulgación se pretende ofrecer una radiografía de la situación del astroturismoen Galicia.Esta tipología turística se está consolidando como uno de los productos turísticos en auge que ya cuentacon 6 destinos distinguidos porlas características de sus cielos nocturnos y su oferta de experiencias que contribuyen a su divulgación científica y conservación. Con este contexto se realiza una aproximación conceptual a la mencionada tipología turística y se presenta, particularmente,el proceso de certificación del geodestino Costa da Morte como destino turístico starlight en enero del 2023.

[Abstract] In this article we intend to offer ageneral vision aboutthe situation of astrotourism in Galicia. This tourist typology is consolidating as one of the booming tourism products that already has 6 destinations distinguished by the characteristics of their night skies and their offer of experiences that contribute to their scientific dissemination and conservation. With this context, a conceptual approach to the aforementioned tourist typology is carried out and, in particular, the certification process of the Costa da Morte geodestination as a starlight tourist destination in January 2023 is presented.
