Educação ambiental e mudanças climáticas: uma pesquisa exploratória no contexto brasileiro

Abstract

[Resumo] O artigo apresenta o resultado de uma pesquisa exploratória que constitui parte de uma pesquisa do Mestrado em andamento. Esta trata de investigar as interpretações dos docentes de Ciências e Língua Portuguesa do Ensino Fundamental (Curitiba - Brasil) em relação às mudanças climáticas. Neste momento a busca em produções científicas (artigos, teses e dissertações) brasileiras nos dez últimos anos, possibilitou identificar a expansão das pesquisas em relação às mudanças climáticas em diversas áreas do conhecimento, que embora, apresentem quantidades tímidas possuem contribuições extremamente significativas ao campo social. Quanto à educação ambiental, a carência de pesquisas na interface com as mudanças climáticas, indica a emergência de um campo investigativo denso, pois as interações sociais que emergem deste novo contexto ambiental constitui um conhecimento que precisa ser incorporado às práticas pedagógicas dos professores nas suas ações de ensino.[Abstract] The article presents the results of an exploratory research that is part of an ongoing Master research. The research aims to investigate the interpretations of two groups of professors: Teachers of Science and Teachers of Portuguese Language. To summarize, the idea is to seek to know their interpretation regarding climate change. In addition, both groups are from the same Elementary School located at Curitiba city, Brazil. Nowadays the search for scientific production (articles, theses and dissertations) in Brazil for the last ten years, enabled us to identify the increase on research regarding climate change in several areas of knowledge, however, those shy amounts have extremely signifcant contributions on the social feld. For the last, not least, as for environmental education, the lack of research about the interface of climate change, indicates the urgency of a dense investigation process. Moreover, social interactions that emerge from this new environmental context are a knowledge that needs to be incorporated into the pedagogical practices of teachers on their actions.
