[Resumo] Este traballo, sobre os estudos sociais na cidade de Ferrol, traza a historia da antiga Escola Universitaria de Relacións Laborais desta cidade, desde a súa creación como «seminario» en 1970. O protagonista deste relato é o profesor Cipriano Dobarro, primeiro director da Escola de Ferrol e persoa que xestionou a súa integración na Universidade da Coruña no ano 2000.
[Abstract] This paper, centred on social studies in the city of Ferrol, traces the history of the former University School of Labour Relations of this city, from its creation as a «seminar» in 1970. The protagonist in this history is Professor Cipriano Dobarro, the first Director of the School of Ferrol and the person who oversaw its integration into the University of A Coruña in 2000.
