Abstract
[Abstract]: The aim of this article is to study the career path of the audiovisual circuit of Kijé, a co-produced animated short film and debut by the self-taught filmmaker Joanna Lorho. Due to the lack of expertise and financial resources of this auteur, she had to carry out all the production and promotion of the film, until a certain moment that she needed a producer. In this context, this low-budget animated short film, offers a representative image of independent animation outlook. This article will analyse the long path of a handcrafted co-produced animated short film, which will turn into a cultural commercialised product. Kijé is animated short film made in Belgium and France by the self-taught filmmaker Joanna Lorho, whose production period was extended to about ten years, as a result of a long journey.
