Abstract
[Resumen]: Ante los rápidos cambios y la sobreabundancia de información, los estudiantes universitarios necesitan desarrollar habilidades que les permitan adaptarse a retos sociales, ambientales y tecnológicos desconocidos, progresar continuamente y asumir un rol activo en su aprendizaje. Es fundamental prepararlos para empleos, tecnologías y problemas aún inexistentes o desconocidos. Desde esta perspectiva, resulta coherente integrar el enfoque de aula invertida con el de aprendizaje permanente, ya que ambos promueven un aprendizaje activo, flexible y centrado en el estudiante. Mientras el primero fomenta la autonomía en contextos educativos concretos, el segundo plantea una visión de aprendizaje continuo que trasciende la educación formal. Su combinación no solo es posible, sino que potencia la adquisición de competencias del siglo XXI y fortalece la preparación tanto para objetivos académicos inmediatos como para el desarrollo profesional futuro. Este documento ofrece algunas reflexiones sobre su integración en entornos de estudiantes nativos digitales capaces de entroncarlas para su formación permanente.
[Abstract]: In the face of rapid change and an overwhelming abundance of information, university students must develop skills that enable them to adapt to emerging social, environmental, and technological challenges, engage in continuous improvement, and take an active role in their learning processes. It is essential to prepare them for jobs, technologies, and problems that do not yet exist or are not yet fully understood. From this standpoint, integrating the flipped classroom approach with lifelong learning proves coherent, as both foster active, flexible, and student-centered learning. While the former promotes autonomy within specific educational contexts, the latter embraces a broader view of learning as a continuous process that extends beyond formal education. Their integration not only proves feasible but also enhances the acquisition of 21st-century competencies and strengthens students’ preparedness for both immediate academic goals and future professional development. This paper presents reflections on how to combine both approaches in contexts involving digitally native students engaged in lifelong learning pathways.
