dc.description.abstract[Abstract]: Breast cancer remains the leading cancer diagnosis among women. While treatment advances have significantly improved patient outcomes, some of the adverse effects associated with these therapies have been linked to cardiotoxicity, potentially compromising heart function. Understanding the time when such toxicity emerges is crucial to optimizing patient care and monitoring strategies. This study aims to estimate the time until cardiotoxicity appears, known as latency. The idea is to apply an innovative adaptation of traditional cure models considering a presmoothing method.
