Expansión urbana nas zonas húmidas de Bissau: estudo de caso da bolanha de Bissaque-Djolo

Abstract

[Resumo] O presente artigo é fruto da minha monografia de fim de licenciatura em que fiz uma análise do fenómeno da expansão urbana em Bissau, também na perspetiva de refletir acerca do tipo de cidade que queremos. A educação ambiental pode ser uma ferramenta e um processo de ouvir e dar a voz às pessoas que vivem e têm uma relação direta com as zonas húmidas (bolanhas) como meio de subsistência (pesca e os arrozais). O estudo analisa a expansão urbana nas zonas húmidas de Bissaque-Djolo e perspetiva a educação ambiental face a esse desafio. O artigo sugere fundar uma perspetiva crítica da educação ambiental em que vai ser construída a partir das pessoas que vivem nas zonas húmidas e expandir o debate às entidades estatais e ao resto da sociedade[Abstract] This article is the result of my bachelor monograph in which I analyzed the phenomenon of urban expansion in Bissau, guided by the perspective of reflecting on the type of city we want. Environmental education can be a relevant tool for listening and giving voice to people who live and have a direct relationship with wetlands (bolanha) as a livelihood (fishing and rice farming). The study analyzes urban expansion in the Bissaque-Djolo wetlands and looks at environmental education in the face of this challenge. The article suggests founding a critical perspective on environmental education in go to be built from people living in wetlands and expanding the debate to state entities and the rest of society.
