Abstract
[Abstract] The purpose of this project is to define the determinants of success for tourism in theme parks, as well as the measurement of the economic and territorial impact that derives from the mentioned activity. For this, we have resorted to the use of a wide set of methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative: the historical review of its growth trajectory, the case study and comparative analysis, the analysis of time series, as well as the Delphi method. The analysis carried out allows to determinate both the effectiveness of the main strategies for the sector, along with studying the endogenous and exogenous conditions of the success of this type of leisure activities. At the same time, a dynamic function is placed at disposal on tourist regions. Among the relevant results, along with the importance of technological development, the growing demand for new experiences, the differentiation of the product and changes in consumption habits, highlight the sociocultural and geographical factors, which present of key importance.
