O camiño cara a unha agricultura : Análise sintética dos cambios acontecidos na agricultura galega entre o século XIX e o XX

Abstract

[Resumo] O presente traballo analizará a evolución experimentada pola agricultura galega durante o seu período de adaptación ao capitalismo. Esta etapa constitúe un momento clave no seu devir, xa que este incipiente capitalismo que comezaba a estenderse trouxo consigo importantes cambios na estrutura e organización agraria galega, de entre os que cabe destacar os seguintes: a xeneralización da propiedade privada, o avance das melloras técnicas, a especialización de cultivos e a orientación comercial dos produtos. Trátase, xa que logo, da aparición dun novo sistema económico que, pese ás grandes diferenzas existentes entre o contexto actual e o estudado, aínda segue a rexer os intercambios económicos en boa parte do mundo actual. En consecuencia, débese ter presente que a Galicia de hoxe presenta estes trazos, e é interesante abordar o estudo dos cambios acontecidos nas últimas décadas decimonónicas e nas primeiras do século pasado para comprender a repercusión que tiveron no posterior desenvolvemento agrario.[Abstract] The present project will analyze the evolution of Galician agriculture during its period of adaptation to capitalism. This period is a crucial moment in its development due to the fact that this incipient capitalism, which was beginning to spread, involved important changes in the structure and organization of Galician agriculture, among which we could stand out the following: a widespread private property, a great advance in technology, specialization in crops and trade of goods. In fact, it is the birth of a new economic system, which in spite of the differences between the current context and the one we are referring to, still rules the economic exchange in present day society. As a consequence, we must bear in mind that present Galicia has these features and it is also interesting the study of the changes that have taken place throughout the last decades of the XIXth century and the first ones of the XXth century in order to understand the influence they had on the agricultural development in later years.
