Ingenio, causa principal de la agudeza y complemento del juicio

Abstract

[Resumen] El artículo ofrece un estudio del concepto de “ingenio” desde la epistemología graciana. Una breve historia de la aparición del término introduce el tema de la relación entre genio e ingenio. Posteriormente se analizan la antropología y la epistemología del ingenio para concluir con la relación entre ingenio, agudeza, juicio y gusto.

[Abstract] The article offers a study of the concept of “ingenio” (wit) from Gracián’s epistemology. A brief history of the origin of the term introduces the topic of the relation between genius and ingenius. Later on the anthropology and the epistemology of the “ingenio” are analysed and finally the relation between “ingenio”, “agudeza”, judgement and taste is offered by way of conclusion.
