Investigar con fotografía documental para el aprendizaje del urbanismo, el patrimonio y el espacio-tiempo contemporáneo

Abstract

[Resumen] Este artículo se centra en la fotografía documental de carácter popular y su importancia educativa con alumnado de 5 a 7 años. Se ha empleado la fotografía como herramienta artística, pedagógi-ca y metodológica a la hora de indagar sobre el aprendizaje del urbanismo, el patrimonio cultural y el espacio-tiempo contemporáneo con niños de infantil y primaria. Un proyecto de investigación de un año de duración cuyo objetivo ha sido la apropiación de un archivo fotográfico de Galicia y, concretamente, de las imágenes populares de Carral (A Coruña), ayuntamiento en donde se ubica el centro educativo objeto de esta investigación educativa basada en las artes. El proceso indagador comenzó explorando el uso social de la fotografía documental, desde sus inicios, así como el uso actual de la fotografía en el arte contemporáneo. Así fue como se inició esta investigación basada en la fotografía: Ciudad imaginada. La hipótesis de partida ha sido: ¿Qué puede aprender el alumnado a través de estrategias sensibles y micro-acciones artísticas en torno a la fotografía documental de su pueblo?. El proyecto se desarrolló en tres fases consecutivas: El paso del tiempo a nivel físico; El paso del tiempo a nivel espacial y la visualización del proyecto de investigación a través de una instalación final work-in-progressen un centro cultural del Ayuntamiento de Carral.

[Abstract] This paper focuses on the popular documentary photography in art education. Photography has been used as an artistic, pedagogical and methodological tool so as to learning of the contemporary ur-banism, cultural heritage and space-time working with children from kindergarten and primary school. A one-year research project whose main objective was the expropriation of a photographic record of Galicia and, especially, of the popular images from Carral. The school in which this art-based educa-tional research was carried out, is located in the council of the before mentioned place. The research project began by exploring the social use of documentary photography since its origins, and also by analysing the current use of photography in the contemporary arts. In this way, the research project based on photography started: Imagined City. The hypothesis of the research has been: What can the students learn through sensitive strategies and artistic actions related to the documentary photography of their own village? The project was developed in three consecutive phases: the course of time re-garding the physical level; the passage of time considering the space level and the visualization of the research project through a final installation work-in-progress in the cultural center in Carral
