Abstract
docentes foron separados definitivamente do ensino.
Brenlla.
[Abstract] Muros was the town in the province of A Coruña that was hardest hit by the military uprising against the Republic in 1936 : 48% of the town’s teachers were permanently expelled from the profession. This article begins with an analysis of the sanctions and charges imposed upon them, particularly those of a political or religious nature. The second part reconstructs the stories of four teachers who, apart from suffering professionally from the purge, were sentenced to prison, forced into exile or even executed: Francisco Rodríguez Suárez, Xosé Tobío Mayo, Rafael Pardo Carmona and Jesús Álvaro López Brenlla.
