Abstract
[Abstract] This article shows a search of the best available evidence about the three principal phases of presurgical preparation of the patient: previous wash of the zone of intervention, hair removal and antisepsis of the zone where we are going to operate. The purpose of the review is the implementation of the existing protocols. To have a wash the night before the intervention with gluconato of clorhexidine, to remove the hair with an electric razor in case of being around or in the zone where we are going to operate and the antisepsis of the skin with gluconato of clorhexidine before the surgical intervention, minimize the rates of infection.
