Abstract
[Abstract]: The objective of this study is to determine whether the various types of perceived sustainable impacts (economic, sociocultural and environmental) have a different causal effect on the dependent variables raised: “General attitude towards tourism” and “Attitude towards traditional tourism (sun and beach)”. The data used for the causal analysis are formed by a sample of 420 residents of Maldonado-Punta del Este conurbation (Uruguay). The analysis of the data has been carried out through Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression. The results indicate that the main explanatory variables of attitudes towards tourism are economic benefits and negative socio-cultural changes, highlighting the economic benefits due to their importance and level of significance
