Abstract
[Resumen] La Formación de la Ermita de San Roque, Prov. de Orense, NW de España, ha sido descrita como una serie conglomerática, subhorizontal, anterior a la instrusión de la granodiorita del Macizo de Orense y posterior a la segunda fase de deformación hercinica. Este trabajo intenta aportar nuevos datos litoestratigráficos que permitan datarla en torno al Estefaniense - Pérmico inferior (Autuniense) y describir su tectónica de plegamiento por adaptación a un zócalo rigido fracturado según fallas de dirección N 30E.
[Abstract] The Formation "Ermita de San Roque" in Orense, NW of Spain, has been described as a horizontal, conglomeratic and sedimentary serie previous to the intrusion of calcoalcaline granite series and later than hercynien F2. This paper adduce new lithostratigraphic data that allow the serie to be dated from Stephanian B to Lower Permian times. Further more, its folding tectonics described as an adaptation of the serie to a fractured socle because of faults through N 30E
