Abstract
[Abstract] The Resurrection Fest (colloquially known as the Resu) is a festival of large format music that has been held since 2006 at the Municipality of Viveiro (Galicia). Its media interest is growing, given its positioning in recent years as a reference event for people lovers of "extreme music" (a term that brings together multiple sub-genres metal derivatives, punk or hardcore) on the national and international scene. This media interest reflects the social relevance that has been acquiring progressively, over the course of each of the editions. Now, the Resu, in its beginnings, was based on social conditions of existence that were far in large part from the current ones. This change derives mainly from the increase -as well as the transformation- of the musical genres of its programming (a fact that has been confirmed by the application of the technique of content analysis on the festival's posters). It should also be noted that each musical style is circumscribed by its own social characteristics, These can be verified through the different "body techniques", the type of collectivities generated, or the ethos inherent in the musical genre, among others. Therefore, the main objective of this communication is focused on realizing a sociological approach as holistic as possible to the phenomenon of Resurrection Fest, as well as the impact of these cultural transformations occurred in the evolution of the latter.
