Abstract
[Abstract] This work examines real and extratextual references to books in Feliciano de Silva's sequels of the Amadís de Gaula cycle. These mentions underscore the role and functions of the narrator, since they appear in its narrative level. They refer the reader to previous books and episodes within the cycle, so their presence emphasizes the intertextual relationships and the transfictional phenomena of the Amadisian literary ensemble. These narrator’s interventions are not limited to the work in which they appear, but they transcend to the cyclical level and are an important part of its structure.
