Apuntaciones críticas sobre los calcos en español

Abstract

[Resumen] El objetivo de este artículo es doble: por un lado, subrayar la importancia del calco como recurso de la lengua dentro del campo de las innovaciones léxicas; por otro, apuntar las dificultades que pueden surgir en la identificación de la etimología de algunos calcos en español, sobre todo de los procedentes del inglés, a la vista de algunas interpretaciones erróneas que se han hecho en algunos diccionarios y en diversos estudios sobre el préstamo. Finalmente, se señalan recursos lexicográficos que debe tener en cuenta el investigador para realizar un correcto análisis en este campo[Abstract] The aim of this article is twofold. First, to underline the importance of calques in its various types as a linguistic device within the domain of lexical innovation. Second, to point out the difficulties that might arise when identifying the etymology of some English-induced calques in Spanish in view of the misinterpretations made in some studies that are concerned with the field of lexical borrowing. Finally, some lexicographic tools have been cited to help researchers carry out more accurate analysis of this type.
