Abstract
[Abstract] This paper describes a longitudinal study of the different emotions and opinions that prospective primary school teachers report for their years of educational training, taking into account the differences between the two years in which the subject of Practicum develops (2nd and 3rd). These emotions are also related with the experienced ones when they were pupils. The study consisted of a questionnaire completed by 61 Primary Education students at the University of Extremadura for two years: 2007/2008 and 2008/2009. The results showed that the future primary teachers prefer teaching Arts to Science, as well as teaching young pupils, in a good environment and supporting their explanations with the use of examples and analogies. The emotions aroused by the teaching of content of Nature Sciences are positive, opposite the teaching of content of Physics and Chemistry where negative emotions become prominence. There are differences between the two years but not among gender. There is correlation between emotions as students and as teachers although the negative ones are more showed as science students.
