BGU 611: notas sobre la minoría de edad

Abstract

[Resumen] La Oratio Claudii de decuriis iudicum et de accusatoribus coercendis transmiti- da a través del Papiro berlinés BGU 2.611 establecía la edad necesaria para ser iudex o recuperator. Las lagunas del Papiro y la referencia a la edad de veinticuatro años en relación con la lex Laetoria de circumscriptione adulescentium hacen plantearse dos cuestiones: la primera, la edad precisa para ser iudex o recuperator; la segunda, si la edad de veinticinco años prevista por la lex Laetoria estaría referida al cumplimiento de los veinticinco años o al inicio del vigésimo quinto año de edad. Este artículo ofrece explicaciones para ambos problemas.

[Abstract] The Oratio Claudii de decuriis iudicum et de accusatoribus coercendis, known through the papyrus BGU 2.611 from Berlin, stablished the legal age to become a iudex or a recupertator. The blanks in the papyrus and the mention of the age of 24 in years in reference to the lex Laetoria de circumscriptione adulescentium suggest two ques- tions: first, on the exact age to become iudex or recuperator; secondly, whether the age of 25 in years in the lex Laetoria meaned the fulfillment of the 25 years in age or the beginning of the 25th year. This article offers an explanation to both of them.
