2024Resumen
[Abstract] Monitoring of Data Centers requires constant supervision, which usually involves a high dedication of resources and attention on site, as well as a good knowledge of the structure and organization of the Data Center. However, the environmental characteristics of a Data Center, with low temperature and humidity conditions for optimal equipment operation, and high noise levels, make it advisable to reduce as much as possible the time spent by technical staff inside the building. The main objective of this work is the implementation of a data center monitoring application using Microsoft HoloLens 2 mixed reality glasses as a holographic device. For this purpose, the CITIC data center will be represented holographically as it is in reality, allowing to mimic the real location of the work site and facilitating the understanding of the technician regarding the position of the monitored servers. In addition, it will be possible to interact with the virtual model and access each physical server separately, allowing to show the user a great amount of useful information about the status of that server in real time, and even showing the data corresponding to each virtual server assigned to a specific machine. Finally, it will be possible to perform various technically useful actions on the servers themselves, such as connecting via secure communication protocol for command execution or sending a reboot signal to the machine."
