Abstract
[Resumen] El objetivo principal de esta investigación es presentar un análisis realizado sobre la presencia, uso y alcance del concepto turismo experiencial, en medios de comunicación impresos y online de España, locales, regionales y nacionales. Para ello se ha contado con la ayuda de la herramienta de búsqueda Factiva®, a través de un análisis de contenido cuantitativo y cualitativo que ha sido complementado con un estudio de caso de una muestra de empresas que ilustran este modelo turístico en crecimiento.
Del total de noticias publicadas (1.262 en 89 periódicos de referencia), respecto a la temática objeto de análisis, los resultados presentan un aumento paulatino desde 2007, siendo 2021 el año con mayor número de noticias, un total de 247, coincidiendo con un aumento de mayor demanda de este tipo de actividades, tras la situación sanitaria provocada por la COVID-19. El año 2022, también muestra una alta presencia de noticias. Todo ello viene a constatar el aumento de un tipo de actividad turística más ligada a la perspectiva sostenible y a la búsqueda de una práctica turística más auténtica y significativa por parte de la demanda. [Abstract] The main objective of this investigation is to present an analysis of the presence, use, and scope of the concept of so-called experientia/ tourism the local, regional, and national press and online media in Spain. Factiva® was the search tool used to do this through a quantitative and qualitative content analysis complemented by a case study of a sample of companies that illustrate this growing tourism model.
Of the total number of news items published (1.262 in 89 reference newspapers) concerning the subject under analysis, the results show a gradual increase since 2007, with 2021 being the year with the highest number of news items, a total of 247, coinciding with an increase in demand for this type of activity, following the health situation caused by COVID-19. The year 2022 also shows a high presence of news. AII this supports the growth of tourism practices more closely related to a sustainable viewpoint and the demand for more genuine and meaningful tourism practices.
