Aprendizaje en el ámbito de la introducción a la robótica móvil: experiencia en la competición ASTI Robotics Challenge

Abstract

[Resumen] En este artículo se presenta el itinerario seguido por un equipo de estudiantes iniciados en competiciones robóticas tales como “First Lego League” y “Robocup Junior”, habiendo competido a nivel nacional desde el punto de vista universitario, en las competiciones CEABOT y ASTI Robotics Challenge. Con esta experiencia, se presenta el robot desarrollado por el equipo en la competición ASTI 2023, habiendo ganado el primer premio, dando detalles del diseño mecatrónico y la organización del equipo. También, el artículo presenta una valoración de las lecciones aprendidas en cuanto a las bondades de estas competiciones de cara a complementar los estudios universitarios del ámbito de las ingenierías. En general, los estudiantes han experimentado una gran mejora en cuanto a habilidades técnicas, sociales y de motivación, siendo positivo para su desarrollo educativo como futuros ingenieros.

[Abstract] This article presents the itinerary followed by a team of students initiated in robotics competitions such as "First Lego League" and "Robocup Junior", having competed at a national level from the university point of view, in the CEABOT and ASTI Robotics Challenge competitions. With this experience, the robot developed by the team in the ASTI 2023 competition is presented, having won the first prize, giving details of the mechatronic design and the organization of the team. Also, the article presents an assessment of the lessons learned regarding the benefits of these competitions in order to complement university studies in the field of engineering. In general, the students have experienced a great improvement in terms of technical, social and motivational skills, which is positive for their educational development as future engineers.
