Abstract
The material and intangible legacies of the discipline grows as
it ages. A legacy that the occupational therapists are creating
throughout our lives. The people relevant to the discipline
leave their legacies in our hands, with the responsibility that
entails. To what extent are we prepared to assume this
situation? How can we make a legacy grow and not be
diluted? In this sense the occupation remains, but to what
extent are we aware of the occupational therapists of their
meaning? As an occupational therapy professional, we must
reflect on our professional contribution based on legacies and
their evolutions, only in this way can we make a sustainable
and sustainable society that generates spaces for health
promotion and development of the occupation.
