Abstract

[Abstract] In modern written Galician different changes have taken place within the connective counterargumentative expressions of concessive nature. While some of them remained as archaic forms or even dissapeared, new expressions have appeared and for the last two centuries they are widely used in written form; this is the case of malia (que), that has achieved big strength in recent times. Likewise, along with the prototypical concessive connective from the Middle Ages aínda que, in modern times a new form anque has appeared in oral and written language. But this and other forms examined in the present article are thought to be cases of interference from Spanish.
