A Revista Galega de Filoloxía conságrase á publicación de traballos de investigación que desenvolveren algún aspecto lingüístico ou literario do ámbito galego-portugués, como tamén á promoción e ao coñecemento da lingua no seo da sociedade. Do mesmo xeito, serán obxecto de consideración para seren publicadas as recensións de obras que trataren algún tema relacionado coa lingüística e a literatura, quer xerais, quer elaborados no mundo lusófono.
