Los repertorios militares: contribución a la historia de la lexicografía de especialidad

Abstract

[Resumen] Tras la publicación en 1749 del primer diccionario militar del castellano, obra de Raimundo Sanz, el panorama lexicográfico de nuestra lengua experimenta una auténtica eclosión por lo que respecta a la elaboración de repertorios especializados en la temática bélica. Ahora bien, el momento de máximo apogeo para la lexicografía militar lo constituye, sobre todo, el siglo XIX. Dada la relevancia de esta modalidad lexicográfica, apenas explorada, nos proponemos en el presente trabajo señalar las principales características de cada uno de los diccionarios militares del español publicados a lo largo de esos siglos XVIII y XIX.

[Abstract] After the publication in 1749 of the first military dictionary in Spanish language, by Raimundo Sanz, the lexicographical panorama of our language burst onto the scene with respect to the writing of specialized repertoires in the theme of war. Having said that, the moment of greatest peak for military lexicography is, above all, the 19th century. Because of the relevance of this lexicographical modality, barely studied, we propose in this paper to point out the main characteristics of each of the military dictionaries of Spanish language published over those 18th and 19th centuries.
