A natureza como medio educador na historia da educación: unha aproximación desde a educación escolar e a educación no tempo libre1

Abstract

[Resumo] O valor educativo da natureza é un tema que conta cunha longa traxectoria histórica. Dende os comezos da vida na Terra, o ser humano tivo un vínculo especial co medio natural, un vínculo que foi evolucionando á par das distintas civilizacións. Nesta evolución atopamos a perspectiva educativa da natureza, cando se comeza a enxergar o medio natural como un espazo de relevantes posibilidades pedagóxicas. Así, neste artigo deterémonos a analizar esta perspectiva educativa na historia da educación desde unha dupla vertente: a escolar e a do tempo libre. A pesar de que o concepto de pedagoxía do ocio está circunscrito á Idade Contemporánea, naqueles primeiros momentos en que se comezou a empregar a natureza como fonte formativa xa se concibía o tempo libre nun sentido educativo e non de ociosidade, asociándoo co medio natural e as denominadas actividades ao aire libre.

[Abstract] The educational value of nature is a topic that has a long historical trajectory. Since the beginning of life on earth, the human being has had a special bond with the natural environment, evolved a link to the pair of different civilizations. This trend also reflects the educational perspective, when it starts to consider the environment like an area of relevant pedagogical possibilities. Therefore, in this article we stop to analyze this perspective of the ature in the history of education from two aspects: school and leisure. Although the concept of leisure education is limited to contemporary age, in those first moments when he began to use nature as a source of training and conceived the leisure time in an educational sense, not idleness, associating it with the natural environment and outdoor activities.
